Hi everyone and welcome to our P6B blog. It is so much fun being back at school and not having to stare at a computer screen all day. It is great to see our friends again and we are enjoying the extra space in our new classroom.
We have chosen to study Australia as our topic and we have been learning about the Great Barrier Reef and famous landmarks. In Science we are learning about Oceans and Seas.
Carmen commented, ‘It is very interesting learning all these facts.’
Sophia added, ‘It is interesting learning about the Barrier Reef and how climate change might affect it.’
In Maths, we have been learning about fractions and decimals. We also revised lots of things as we had forgotten some things over lock down. We have also been learning about time and how to use a calendar.
Ali said, ‘I have really enjoyed learning about improper and mixed fractions.’
In religious we have been learning about Saints and what made them special.
In Health lessons we have been learning about diversity and we have been practising mindfulness.
Olivia and Advithi commented on how relaxing they find mindfulness and that it is a nice way to start or end a lesson.
We are studying a novel this term which we are really enjoying. It is called ‘Adolphus Tips.’
Anna said,’ I am enjoying this book as it is about living during WW2.’
We have been enjoying outdoor learning. We completed a senses scavenger hunt in the forest which we then used to write a poem back in class. Our poems were excellent! We also built obstacle courses in the muddy movers area which was lots of fun.
Grace said, ‘I really enjoy being in the forest as it makes me feel happy and free!’
Keep checking Twitter to see photos of our learning and achievements.
