STEM stands for science technology engineering and maths.We did lots of fun and exiting experiments like making dancing ghost using tissue paper, balloons and static electricity.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Dancing Ghosts<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We made a tissue paper ghost and stuck it to the desk with a bit a tape.\u00a0 We then rubbed\u00a0a balloon on our hair to create static electricity and then put the balloon near the tissue paper ghost and because of the static electricity the ghost started to dance!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Electric Eels<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We also took part in an experiment called Electric Eels.\u00a0 We used gummy laces and added them to water with bicarbonate of soda.\u00a0 We then added the laces to a cup of vinegar and they fizzed up.\u00a0 We left the laces in the water for two hours and eventually the laces rose due to the gas created by mixing the vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and they looked like electric eels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>written by the children of P5A<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week was STEM week.
