Our Trip to a Festival of Sport

We travelled to Giffnock Sports HUB, and tried our hands at a  lot of different sports.

We played:

Tennis – We played a game called Champion’s Court. Using the racket to improve our hand-eye coordination. We also worked on our balance.

Squash – Practicing rallying. We used a different racket and ball than tennis.

Football – Played matches with different teammates from different schools.

Judo – Practicing holds and ground techniques on the mats.

Karate – We learned how to defend ourselves.

Netball – We practiced passing and shooting.

Athletics – We used javelins, jumped over hurdles and practiced sprinting via racing.

Rugby – We held a ball and used our agility.

There were lots of sports, some of which we liked, some which we disliked but overall we had an amazing time.
