P7c really enjoyed the October break – it was a well-earned break after all our hard work so far this year.

Having had a rest, the class took on the challenge of changing the world! We planned out a persuasive letter about things we would like to change in the world. From climate change and the cost of medicine to human rights and equality; Mr Fogg and Mr Harkins were inspired and really impressed by the quality of writing and the passion shown. The future is in safe hands – just put P7c in charge!

In numeracy we have continued our work on decimals and have had a real focus on problem solving. Just like with solving the world’s problems, P7c showed a real talent in this area.

Our Japan topic is coming to an end and we are excited to be starting to learn about World War II. The first thing we will do is find out what we already know and think about what we would like to find out more about. With great ideas already being fired about the class, it is going to be an exciting and rewarding learning experience.

A real highlight of the month has been our trip to Bikeability at Crookfur. The children loved taking part and are really looking forward to our ‘on road’ session later in November where we will practice our new skills and knowledge to ride confidently and safely.
