That\u2019s why we invest so much in training our Advanced Engineering Apprentices and offer the sort of real-world experience you can\u2019t get anywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>Join us and you\u2019ll contribute to our pioneering work, getting up close with our amazing products. You can expect all the training and qualifications you need to get your ideas noticed, and the support to develop your skills and knowledge. We\u2019ll help you shape your future and build a great career.<\/p>\n<p><b>What you\u2019ll do<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In your first year, you\u2019ll gain a strong foundation in the practical skills you need \u2013 either at our Apprentice Academy in Derby, or with one of our approved training providers across the UK. Over the following three years, you\u2019ll broaden and deepen your knowledge through a range of attachments within one of our businesses, Civil Aerospace, Defence or Submarines, all the while working towards completing your Apprenticeship Standard and gaining relevant engineering qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is hands-on work. And whether you\u2019re producing, building or maintaining Rolls-Royce products, or making and maintaining the tools we need to a high standard, you\u2019ll be making a big impact. Throughout your apprenticeship you can expect to train on state-of-the-art products, equipment and machinery. All while being guided and supported by engineering experts.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be working on live projects and earn as you learn through formal training as well as practical experience.<\/p>\n<p><b>What could you become?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We have roles as: Fitter, Instrument Technician, Machinist, Welder, Mechatronics -Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical. You\u2019ll develop specialist skills in your chosen area.<\/p>\n<p><b>What you&#8217;ll need<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For roles in Scotland, you\u2019ll need 4 National 5s in Maths, English and Physics plus one other subject at grade A-C.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond your qualifications, we want to see evidence that you&#8217;re genuinely interested in the practical side of engineering or hands on activities. For example, we&#8217;d like to hear if you enjoy working on cars or bike; or about an engineering or practical project you&#8217;ve done at school or home or a club you&#8217;ve been involved with. We&#8217;ll provide you with a fantastic framework and all the opportunities you need to progress, but it&#8217;ll be up to you to lead own your development.
