{"id":3811,"date":"2022-11-03T09:37:11","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T09:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/snhscareers\/?p=3811"},"modified":"2022-11-03T09:37:11","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T09:37:11","slug":"bae-systems-naval-ships-apprenticeship-window-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/snhscareers\/2022\/11\/03\/bae-systems-naval-ships-apprenticeship-window-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"BAE Systems Naval Ships &#8211; Apprenticeship window now open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that the 2023 Apprenticeship window is now open!<\/p>\n<p>BAE Systems Naval Ships are recruiting circa 200 different intermediate, advanced, higher and degree apprenticeships across our Glasgow sites.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/en\/careers\/careers-in-the-uk\/apprenticeships\">https:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/en\/careers\/careers-in-the-uk\/apprenticeships<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recruitment Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete an application form online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/apprenticeships\">baesystems.com\/apprenticeships<\/a> between November 1st and February 28<sup>th<\/sup>, 2023<\/li>\n<li>Complete the online gamification testing you will be sent after your application has been submitted.\u00a0 You will have 7 days to complete these.\u00a0 Keep an eye on your junk mail if the link does not appear in your inbox.<\/li>\n<li>You will be asked to complete an online interview.\u00a0 This will be using a system called Hireview and will be pre recorded questions.\n<ul>\n<li>Practice speaking into a camera in order to prepare for the potential \u2018virtual\u2019 interviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You will be notified if you have been successful in progressing to the next stage, this may not be until after the 28<sup>th<\/sup> of February so do not worry if you don\u2019t hear anything before then.<\/li>\n<li>An interview\/ assessment centre will be the next stage and should take place in April 2023<\/li>\n<li>Successful candidates will start their programme in August 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Top Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take the time to read the job specifications and be clear on the role you are applying for- for example an electrician role is a marine electrician not a domestic electrician and our joiners work mainly with metal not wood!<\/li>\n<li>After the 28<sup>th<\/sup> of February, role profiles will disappear from the website.\u00a0 We would recommend copying the detail to a word document to enable you to refer to details in the job description before an interview<\/li>\n<li>When doing the online tests, take the time to read all instructions fully ensuring you are clear what is being asked.\u00a0 Try not to panic with the timings.\u00a0 On average there is 6 minutes to complete each test.<\/li>\n<li>Do not leave it until the final day to submit your application in case of any IT issues!<\/li>\n<li>Make use of the word count on your application form.\u00a0 Do not write one word answers!<\/li>\n<li>If you have any questions, please get in touch! <a href=\"mailto:jessica.dradge@baesystems.com\">dradge@baesystems.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For young people or staff who might have questions about the process, we will be hosting our Open Evening on the 17<sup>th<\/sup> November (WCS, Clydebank Campus) and attending STEM West \u2013 please feel free to come along and ask any questions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that the 2023 Apprenticeship window is now open!
