The successful applicants will gain work based practical experience & knowledge of various childcare developments & settings, by spending time in varying nurseries across the Local Authority, allowing\u00a0them to work with babies, 3-5 year olds and children with additional needs. This work based learning will also be supported by regular theoretical learning opportunities delivered by the Early Years & Childcare Trainer\/Assessor. It should also be noted that personal home study will be expected from all participants.<\/p>\n
Candidates\u00a0must have a minimum of National 5 in English with a further 2 subjects at National 5. Good communication skills, Good ICT skills, a genuine interest in working with children, and a willingness to work towards a recognised early years & childcare qualification are also essential.<\/p>\n
The salary starts from \u00a3153.79 per week and successful candidates will be based at various locations throughout East Renfrewshire Council.<\/p>\n
