The team worked very hard to plant the letters OLM in blue and yellow ‘grande maitre’ crocuses just outside the main entrance.
We applied our maths skills to the real-life problem of measuring out the area and calculating just how many bulbs we would need for the task. We then went online to source the bulbs at a fair price. Once the bulbs arrived, we again used our maths skills to divide the bulbs according to the area of each letter.
We had to apply our knowledge of measure, cost and ratio to ensure the bulbs were evenly distributed. We then had fun planting the bulbs. Hopefully, they will flower this year and many years to come.
Thanks to the PSA for funding our maths/ gardening project.
