The months of the year

Brodie can say the months of the year in order!

P2a Art – Making a model

Primary 2 were given a challenge of making a model from plasticene. We are learning about toys so we decided to make model toys. Have a look at our wonderful work!

Last Friday, P2e performed a wonderful Lenten Assembly for their parents and carers and for the children in the infant department. They shared a story about a boy who had to be patient and still, and wait for something good to happen. They reminded us that Lent is a time for praying, almsgiving and forgiveness as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us while in the desert.

The spoke about what sorts of things they were giving up for Lent as well as the things they were going to try to do more of; like tidy their room, play with their siblings more, or help their parents around the house.

Senses

As part of Science and Health and Wellbeing P2a have been learning about senses. We have been learning about our sense of smell through guessing which smell was which. For our sense of taste we were discussing different taste buds. We tried different foods to discuss if they were bitter, sweet, sour or salty.

Catholic Education Week

In primary 2 we have been learning about ‘Serving the Common Good’ as part of Catholic Education Week. We have been collecting food for our local food bank.

P2a, p2b & p2c in the Outdoor Classroom.

Our Primary 2 had great fun in the Outdoor Classroom today, We were planting bulbs and writing descriptive words about nature.

Primary 2a and Primary 2b Library.

P2a and P2b have been to visit our new library this week. We have all brought a library book home. bring it back next week so we can change them for new ones.

STEM Room

Primary 2a have been learning about senses in the STEM room. We have been learning about our sense of hearing and sight. We are looking forward to our sense of taste!
