Maths
We had so much fun today applying our knowledge of angles, position and movement when using both beebots and probots.
Reading corner
Have a look at our new cosy reading corner. We brainstormed ideas for our new class library theme and decided on a jungle theme. We have been enjoying using this space!
RE- Advent
Today we learned about the role that the Wise Men played in the Christmas stories. We also made an Advent promise which we displayed on an Advent candle.
Sponsored run
Next Monday (16th December) we will be particpating in a sponsored run to raise money for cancer charities. We have sent home sponsor forms if anybody wants to sponsor the children for their run! Thank you for your support with this.
Music:
Our music specialist Mrs Lyle visits us every fortnight. Recently we have been learning a range of rhythms and beats. Have a look at us practising in class!
Hockey:
We have just completed a block of hockey in PE! Have a look at us enjoying playing some games in the playground.
       STEM:
Yesterday in STEM, we carried out an experiment called the ‘Charm Masterclass’. We mixed together some reactants to make a chemical reaction! We then wrote a report on our findings!
Stage Mass:
We look forward to seeing anyone who can come along next Tuesday for our Stage Mass in the Main hall!
P3d were leading the learning when they showed P3a what you can do with the VR headsets. The children chose to look at Autumn, the Jungle and Transport. The children were highly motivated and enthusiastic and had lots of fun at the same time.
As part of Digital Learning Week Mrs Neil taught us how to develop our coding skills. We were able to give ‘Dash’ and ‘Dot’ instructions to speak, move and talk! It was great fun.
P2a have been learning about the forces push and pull. We used toys to investigate if they should be pushed or pulled to move.
In preparation for International DAy P2a made soda bread to represent the country Ireland. We even made our own butter aswell.
