P5 enjoyed their outdoor learning experience playing games from the 70’s.
Maths
We had so much fun today applying our knowledge of angles, position and movement when using both beebots and probots.
Reading corner
Have a look at our new cosy reading corner. We brainstormed ideas for our new class library theme and decided on a jungle theme. We have been enjoying using this space!
RE- Advent
Today we learned about the role that the Wise Men played in the Christmas stories. We also made an Advent promise which we displayed on an Advent candle.
Sponsored run
Next Monday (16th December) we will be particpating in a sponsored run to raise money for cancer charities. We have sent home sponsor forms if anybody wants to sponsor the children for their run! Thank you for your support with this.
Music:
Our music specialist Mrs Lyle visits us every fortnight. Recently we have been learning a range of rhythms and beats. Have a look at us practising in class!
Hockey:
We have just completed a block of hockey in PE! Have a look at us enjoying playing some games in the playground.
STEM:
Yesterday in STEM, we carried out an experiment called the ‘Charm Masterclass’. We mixed together some reactants to make a chemical reaction! We then wrote a report on our findings!
Stage Mass:
We look forward to seeing anyone who can come along next Tuesday for our Stage Mass in the Main hall!
P4c worked incredibly hard this morning to use their senses to bring a picture to life. The groups demonstrated great talking and listening skills, were able to take notes, organise their notes under the correct headings and every group included some excellent descriptive, ambitious and interesting vocabulary. Very well done P4c!
P3a have been investigating magnets. We have been finding out about different types of magnets and that magnets have a north and south pole. We have also been learning some new vocabulary and what the words mean, for example, attract and repel.
