Student of the Week – Sukaynh

An massive congratulations to one of our most consistently diligent and focused students – Sukaynh! She always listens carefully to instructions and makes incredibly fast and positive starts to tasks. Sukaynh collaborates well with others and exchanges ideas in a tactful and detailed way. Her homework is of a fabulous standard and it’s clear that she has a range of independent learning tools and the inner drive to push herself. Keep pushing yourself, Sukaynh!

Literacy Homework

Each Monday, our Literacy task is to continue a story provided and write the next paragraph. In order to self and peer assess we read each others’ efforts and vote for the one that meets a set of success criteria. This week the fabulous Zohaib received the most votes for his vocabulary choices! Keep up your efforts with homework everyone and keep showing your parents what you’ve been doing or what you may need support with.

Confirmation Discussion

Today in class Father Joe came to talk to us about our Confirmation names so we have an idea of what saint we should pick. He reminded us that when we are picking a saint’s name it is like picking a heavenly friend for life. We’ll do some more research so that we pick wisely. Thanks Father Joe!

Science – Fertilisers

Today we put our learning about fertilisers into action and planted some radish seeds using two types of fertiliser: one chemical and one organic. In the videos below we made some predictions about what we expect to happen in the coming weeks!

Student of the Week – Jack

A huge congratulations to Jack who continues to emerge as a leader within the class due to his ability to think for himself and make good decisions. He has a strong sense of what’s right and can always be relied upon to speak up for others when they need it too. What an amazing role model and caring classmate! Your peers love learning from you, Jack.

Positivity in P7a!

In our class we have a reward system called Positivity Points and they are given to pupils who go the extra mile and make positive contributions to the daily life of the class. I’m happy to say that
Dar-a is the first person in the class to reach ten points and start a new card! Proud of you and your brave approach to learning. 😊

Outdoor PE

Just a wee reminder that the weather is starting to get a bit colder and that bringing appropriate layers is vital in order to stay happy and healthy outside. Remember that our PE uniform is a black sweater/hoodie/leggings/shorts/joggers with our yellow school t-shirt. Hoodies should not be worn on non-PE days. If anyone needs a school jumper for the oncoming colder days just let me know and I’ll get one for you. 😊
