Primary 7a 2024 – 2025

We’ve been working together during writing time to think of ways in which we can engage our reader.  We want to to use powerful vocabulary and ensure our writing meets its purpose.

This week the Cubes and the Cuboid groups have been exploring the relationship between grams and kilograms!

Dear Parents and Carers,

I’ve received a couple of messages about problems logging into Google Classroom. All of the children are already a member of our Google Classroom and have been using it in class. They do not require a code to join as they are already a part of it. The issue lies with the device being used at home.

A message relating to a code being required means that the device that is being used probably has an email account linked to it that needs to be logged out from. It’s automatically trying to use a previously used email on the computer or tablet. The children then need to simply log in as normal with their GLOW account. eg. gw14…….

If you’re having trouble accessing Google Classroom then it’s most likely related to multiple Google accounts having been logged on before on your device. e.g. GMail etc.

Today we used some of the Loose Parts materials as well as our own incredible creativity to create fitness circuits. We worked together to design, set up, test then, finally, demonstrate each circuit. Impressive stuff!

Thanks to Iona for bringing in some Egyptian style ornaments! We’re really getting excited about learning about the Ancient Egyptians and how they changed the world.

The children have an Ancient Egypt solo presentation due on Monday 3rd October. Details on Google Classroom and in homework jotters.

This week we have been using the engineering process of ACT, IMAGINE, CREATE and IMPROVE
