Primary 7a 2024 – 2025

The creativity, ambition and talents of P5a are seemingly endless! Today Dar-a, Alex and Gabriel all read us a stories they wrote at home! These will now be displayed in class along with the others. Luna showed us a magic trick with her helpful assistant…. Nicole brought in a super pillow she made at Polish Scouts! Daniel and Jia Sheng told us all about a series of books they adore called the Treehouse Stories. Sukaynh came to class with an outfit for a doll she made by finger knitting! Wow! ❤️

Today we completed a Diamond 9 activity where we had to discuss the main achievements of the Ancient Egyptians then order them in terms of significance! Brilliant knowledge and discussion! We’re going to use this to lead into the creation of an information text during writing time.

We’ve had more children ‘Making their Mark’ in P5a. Iona has started story writing at home, Daniel showed us his Dogman inspired cartoons and Catherine told us about her knitting project! Wow! Keep pushing yourselves boys and girls! 

We’re working hard to be resilient in P5a! These children have all had their names added to our resilience board by a peer. This means that they’re leading the way with how to bounce back from challenges!

Congratulations to Freya who is our latest Student of the Week! Freya is always so full of positivity and she sees a way forward in any given situation. You’ll go so far with that attitude to challenges!

P5a have been working in their sketchbooks, focusing on drawing skills within our Egyptian Topic!

This is our free writing time! Miss Mac asked us to write about anything that came into our heads when we looked at a haunted house picture. All of us did truly amazing! We are planning to do more free writing to build up our confidence and find our own writing styles

We started a new PE unit of study today. We’re going to be focusing on Tennis from now until Christmas. Today we were working on how to hold the racket! We used bean bags to help us get comfortable with controlling our movements. Great job everyone!

Today we built a waterproof shelter! We even sat down and talked over our designs before we started. Over the course of our Outdoor Learning afternoons our ability to collaborate and disagree respectfully has soared! These are such important skills for life. What a positive and resilient class!  ❤️
