There was a big football game and Kiera was in it. She was the only one in P5a who was in it.It wasn’t just any football team it was a girl’s football team.Happily we won the football game. Well done Kiera!

We’ve enjoyed working outside quite a lot this week! It’s lovely to learn in different ways. We were also very grateful for the kind gift of an ice-lolly from some kind parents!

This morning p5a enjoyed some books in the new library. We have enjoyed exploring new authors.

P5a have challenged themselves to take on another Genius Hour project! We had so much fun the first time and this time we were allowed to select an area we are passionate about. We had to create a question to investigate. We’ll showcase our learning to each other on Friday! Our projects range from what makes Nirvana an amazing band to trying to learn how to do more keepie uppies with focused practise, to being able to explain in a simple way what Einstein’s famous theory was about.

We have been so successful in sharing maths strategies this year! We love discussing different approaches and ideas and helping each other to improve in confidence and mental agility.

We thoroughly enjoyed creating our own raps and working hard to incorporate them into a song in music! We were focusing on the negative impact of plastic waste.

This week is Rights Respecting Schools week. We did a debate to celebrate this event. The debate was about the use of phones in class and we had two teams: For and Against. Watch these videos below to find out some of our answers from our debate.
