We have looked at a variety of different types of evidence related to John Shanks and Barrhead, including artefacts, maps, photos, advertisements and awards. We\u2019ve also been thinking about the term \u2018Local Hero\u2019 and whether John Shanks and other Barrhead historical figures deserve this title. Some children in the class have a personal connection to the Shanks factory and have shared these with the class.
