Hi Parents/Carers
Please click on the link above for an overview of what we will be focusing on in Term 2 in class and the ways in which you can support our learning.
Miss McAnally.
We started off the school year by looking at our Class Charter and talking about if there was anything we would change. We want our classroom to be a calm and hardworking place so we must follow rules. We also talked about what we must do to earn our Golden Time. Miss McAnally would like ideas of great Golden Times from us by Friday!
Some online homework this week has been issued and is now within homework folders. It’s a nice discussion task that leads into our new social studies topic -Europe!
Let’s have an amazing 2019 together!
Natasha.
P6b enjoyed baking some scones today with Mrs Hemphill! The children were so responsible, accurate and creative in their approaches. Team work was very much on display. Most importantly, the scones were delicious!
Samanta is this week’s Star Pupil in P6b. Samanta always sets extremely high standards for herself and strives to meet the success criteria within every lesson. Her classmates have shared what they admire about her too!
Have a great weekend everyone! Will we get any snow?????? 🙂
Class Blog Listening and Talking Homework
Using the link above, pupils and parents/carers should have a wee conversation about our class blog this week.
The children put so much into taking photos and recording their learning on this platform. I’m really proud of the way they’ve taken on the challenge. 🙂
So far this year in ukulele lessons, P6B have been learning to play Twist and Shout by The Beatles! We have learned lots of chords and our fingers are getting used to stretching over the frets. We really enjoy playing the ukulele with Mr.Adams!

The children have loved learning about the Victorian Era and we have now moved onto a mini Victorian Christmas unit of study. Last week we learned where some of our current traditions originated from and then created some traditional cone-style Victorian Christmas tree decorations. I’m not optimistic that they made it home with any sweets still inside, however! 🙂 I hope the children have been sharing lots of fun, insightful facts with you.
Miss Mac.
Jack is this week’s Star Pupil in P6b! Jack is an amazing communicator and regularly asks insightful questions in order to further his learning. His classmates have added some other really lovely compliments too. Well done, Jack!
