I’d just love to take the chance to say how much the children have benefited this year from reading online articles at home for homework on a Tuesday. We discuss the Discovery Word they choose each week and try to act as ‘magpies’ by grabbing new word knowledge from others. I can really see the difference it is making in some peoples’ vocabulary and their ability to tackle comprehension tasks. Thanks to parents and carers for supporting this!
