Pope Francis Faith Award (Health and Wellbeing)

Today we focused on getting to know children that we don’t usually spend lots of time with as part of thinking about ‘Fortitude.’ We took some time to formulate questions that would provide us insights in their character and reveal interesting things. We hope to build upon this and continue to forge deeper friendships in the coming weeks and at Lockerbie!

Health and Wellbeing – Talking about Stress

We have been talking about the fact that we all experience elements of stress but thatĀ it isĀ important to reflect on what is going on in our bodies at the time. We are thinking of ways to help alleviate this stress, such as visualising and breathing techniques. Really deep thinking today, guys!

My family and WW2

Th

Thank you so much to the boys and girls who conducted a little bit of family research in their own time and explianed their families connection to WW2. It really brought the personal side of the war home to us and stressed the bravery and brutality involvedĀ of war, as well as the loss that individual families experienced.

Thanks,

Miss Mac,

Lord Provost Debate – Team Work

We are getting ready for our Lord Provost Debate on 13th November and are starting to undertake some drama games and debating exercises in class! We started with a fun Balloon Debate exercise. We have decided that we would like to debate the use of plastic within schools but are still working on the exact motion.
