Pupil Council and Eco Reps!

Teigan was elected as our Pupil Council representative by her classmates today and Hannah was elected as our Eco Rep. All of the children who put themselves forward for these positions of responsibility spoke so passionately and eloquently. We’ll have a photo our our Captains and House Captains up soon too!

Well done, Chizzy! We’ve loved having you back in St. Mark’s with us! You are such a valuable member of P7b with so many amazing ideas to share. Here are some lovely compliments for you! 🙂

Have a safe weekend everyone!

Maths Week Scotland

Hi Parents/Carers,

Our Numeracy and Mathematics homework is online this session but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t lots of skills to be explored in real life contexts at home and in the community too. Lots of excellent ideas for how you can support and extend your child’s learning in the link below.

Maths Week Scotland is coming up soon and we’d love if any of you feel you have numeracy and mathematics skills to share that you could perhaps visit us in class at one point for a short time. Perhaps you could explain the importance of numeracy skills within your job? This kind of learning really makes maths come alive for the children!

Many thanks!

Miss Mac.

Father Joe Class Visit

Father Joe and Joe (who is currently training to be a priest in Rome) came to visit us today in class. We spoke about our Pope Francis Faith Award journey and our commitment to spread God’s message in our daily lives. Lots of the children expressed a desire to atttend mass more regularly on a Sunday as sign of their commitment to the PFFA. Father Joe said he has lots of fun little jobs that children could take on if they did so! 🙂
