P6b thoroughly enjoyed last month’s Halloween festivities! In an ongoing way, any engagement at home with measure (e.g. using grams and kilograms) and money within shopping contexts would be highly beneficial for the children. We are trying to focus on the kinds of skills that will help us to become life long learners, such as critical thinking, problems solving etc. So any “homework” that challenges your child to use what they have learned in school within a variety of contexts would be wonderful.

Multiplication Facts Update!
Miss McAnally is happy to report that every single child in the class either improved their score within the five minute multiplication challenge or improved their time. Thanks to the parents/carers who supported their children in practising these facts. Please keep up your efforts with this at home, boys and girls. Increasingly, we will be called upon to apply these facts within different contexts during P6/P7. Having the facts at our fingertips is our ultimate goal .
