P6 have taken some time this week to self-assess where we are with our multiplication skills. We know that good multiplication knowledge is vital within a variety areas of Numeracy and Mathematics, so we’re determined to make sure our speed and accuracy are where they should be by the start of November. Firstly, we completed a five minute speed test to see how many questions we could answer in that time. We’re all working at our own levels, so we each self-assessed and considered if we were happy with our own performance and, if not, what our next steps should be. . We took some pictures (shown above) of the various activities that are a part of our daily programme of work in order to help us develop our multiplication skills.
A big plea! 🙂 Any time that parents and carers could dedicate to developing these skills at home would be hugely beneficial. Even if it’s just five minutes worth of questions on the walk to school each day. Every little bit helps! We’ll retake the speed test in a month or so and see how much the target setting has helped. Keep an eye on our homework jotters to find out!
Thanks! From P6B.
