Reading Buddies
Over the past term we’ve been meeting our Reading Buddies twice a week. For both P2 and P7 pupils, this is an opportunity to practise their reading skills such as fluency and expression.
P2 love working with the older pupils and hearing the stories that P7 like reading.
We will continue this over the next term.
Thank you to the parents who joined us in our learning yesterday afternoon. We loved having you!
P7 have spent the past couple of days learning about the value of money and budgeting. There have been some excellent and insightful ideas and opinions shared!
Today, P7a got the chance to experience a PE session led by pupils and staff from St Luke’s. This was session 1 of 4 that have been planned as part of our ongoing transition programme. This morning, we played rounders and different athletics games. We had a great time!

For a homework task, P7 were given the challenge of creating their own models of a WW2 Anderson Shelter. As you can see, the results are fantastic with excellent use of creativity and problem solving skills. Well done P7!
This week has been Languages Week Scotland. In P7a, we discussed the different languages that are spoken in our class and our school. The class were challenged to learn words and phrases from a new language.
We have had another achievement in P7a this week; this time in Judo! Congratulations on getting your new belt, what an amazing accomplishment!
We have been designing games involving gravitational force.
