P7a have been hard at work today building models as part of their Floating Gardens STEM challenge inspired by Practical Action and their great work world wide.
Mrs McIntyre has been working with P7 to do some ARTiculate. Combining Art with Talking, Listening and Writing skills, the class have been loving researching the artwork of war artists such as Paul Nash and Laura Knight. We can’t wait to see where our ARTiculate sessions will take us!
For a homework task, P7 were given the challenge of creating their own models of a WW2 Anderson Shelter. As you can see, the results are fantastic with excellent use of creativity and problem solving skills. Well done P7!
We have been looking at climate change and ways of reducing our carbon footprint. We have made climate change superhero’s with recycled products.
P5a have designed some fantastic shields for battle as part of their topic. A lot of hard work has went into these and they are very proud of them! We used lots of recycled materials such as shoe boxes, cereal boxes, jar lids, plastic lids, lollipop sticks, beads, pieces from board games and used paint, pencils and tinfoil to decorate.

This week we all took part in a draw along session inspired by the Grinch. We all watched a step by step video of how to draw the Grinch and drew along with it. We used pencil at first to draw the outline of his hand and then we added colour and texture using oil pastel.
We are all very pleased with how they turned out!
