Primary 7b 21/22

We had our very own class pupil council elections this week. Here are some of our candidates letting their classmates know exactly why they would be suited for the job.

We took part in an experiment to understand how chemical reactions take place.

We used: bicarbonate soda, white vinegar and water.

We added a small amount of water and vinegar to a small beaker. We then added a tea spoonful of bicarbonate soda to the beaker. The mixture started to bubble and froth and in some cases even spilled out over the top!

Primary 5b used their technologies problem solving skills to build a tower using only spaghetti and marshmallows.

“We started by working in small groups to come up with a plan.”

“It was pretty hard to build the tower with the spaghetti, they were very thin.”

”We were successful because we worked together and tried a few different ideas.”

”We were successful because we tried again after failing a couple of times. It was fun!”

P4b continued with their presentations on their chosen country.

We have been very impressed with the effort placed into creating the presentations and the children’s use of props and depth of knowledge of their chosen country.

P4b have been working on their team building, communication and co-operation skill to create a structure from poles and connectors. They did an amazing job and had a lot of fun too!

Primary 4b have been learning about lines of symmetry and symmetrical patterns. They created their own patterns in the playground using natural resources and chalk.
