Over the last fews weeks we’ve been learning about the journey of a river and applying this knowledge to our topic ‘ The Craigie to the Clyde’.<\/p>\n

We’ve explored the upper, middle and lower parts of the river and the different features of each part. We’ve followed the journey of Aurs Burn, to Brockburn all the way to the River Clyde.<\/p>\n

We have recognised how features of rivers such as waterfalls, gorges and meanders are formed.<\/p>\n

Finally we recreated our own river journeys using makedo kits and cardboard. We applied our craft and mathematical knowledge to make freestanding 3d objects and just slopes and lines to control the flow of the water. We worked in teams to plan, cut and create some fabulous designs.<\/p>\n
