Over the last few weeks there has be somewhat of a P5b takeover during assemblies. Whether Eco, Rights Respecting, Mini Vinnies or Equalities. Someone in P5b has been speaking.
Well done to all the speakers, it takes really confidence and nerves of steel! Great job.
And of course P5 talent show auditions are looming… who will be choosen to represent P5b?
We are currently focusing on Listening in Music. We’ve focused on a range of Scottish Tunes and were delighted by Mrs Carey’s performance of The Skye Boat Song on Violin.
We’ve been identifying some new rhythms too.
The highlight for many though was having a shot of an Accordion.
Scottish Country Dancing
As January decended so did the familiar hum of Scottish Folk Music and whole class counting the beat for reels, whirls or jigs as we concentrate on Scottish Country Dancing.
P5 were no different, brushing off our dancing shoes to take part in Strip the Willow, Virginia Reel and Dashing White Sargent. In dancing, following the steps is just part of fun as we counted in 8 and back again. We spun our partners, stamped our feet and followed the leader.
