An important part of helping a young person change their behaviour is exploring alternative and more helpful ways of coping with strong feelings. Here you will find examples of coping strategies that can help.<\/p>\n<p>Remember it may be unrealistic to expect the person to stop self-harming altogether.<\/p>\n<p>The Charity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.battle-scars-self-harm.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Battle Scars<\/a> has created a self-harm management workbook for young people age 10-17.
