Aladdin

By Brooke

I really liked Aladdin I thought it was amazing. I think all the hard work and effort was worth it. I loved the dancing, singing and acting. Also, I thought it was great that they got other people involved even though they were not performing on stage. Unfortunately I didn’t get a part in the show but my poster got chosen to get put on the walls around the school. I did my poster with Mie Mie and Jodie. I felt more involved in the show when ours got chosen.

I think that to make it a bit better they could have put a bit more of the bits from the movie but it was amazing anyway. My favourite part was Lucy and Robbie’s duet I thought it was a really good dance. I also thought the costumes were really amazing.

Aladdin – My Experience!

By Amy

Not long ago, I auditioned for a part in the school show, Aladdin. I thought I wouldn’t get in, but Miss Watson came to our class and announced the people who got a part in the show. She said that I got to be a dancer! I was so happy!

We went along to rehearsals every Friday afternoon. It was a lot of fun. We also got called after school on a Thursday for extra rehearsals. I was in the dance ‘One Jump’. It was fun being backstage because everyone was really hyper and excited!

We did 4 shows in total. Two to the school and two to the parents. On Wednesday the 27th and Thursday the 28th we came along at 6 o’ clock at night to do the show. Some of the P3 classes were our dressing rooms and everyone was so excited! We had to have huge quiffs in our hair and loads of make up! We all looked so different!

It was so much fun performing the dance and the finale. Everyone had a great time and it was great to be part of the performance!

ALADDIN REVIEW

When the school show was about to begin I felt excited and nervous (even though I was behind the scenes most of the time) .Mrs Scott gave her speech about how everyone who participated in the show put all their time and effort into making this performance flabbergasting. A few minutes later, the action was kicking in! Actors, singers and came rushing onto the stage. I was stage crew so I didn’t get to see the show which was a pity. From time to time stage crew were called to carry props, shimmering chairs and silky tables onto the stage. We even got to carry on the beautiful cardboard carpet. Even though I didn’t get to see the show, I loved hearing the singing and I’m sure the dancing and acting were great!

Aladdin Show Review

By Mei Mei

Recently Netherlee Primary School has performed Disney’s Aladdin JR.

I really loved all the dances. I thought that it was smart to have dancers dancing and singers singing, instead of singers only singing.

Some things they could have done better was, they could have had the dancers have more dances each, because each group only had one dance. However, doing it this way meant more people got to perform. I also think that they also could have had more P6’s have more main parts.

My favourite part of the show was when at the end everyone sang the finally song, even the dancers. I liked how they all sang it together, but I think it might have been good if the groups had their own little part to sing.

Overall I thought that the Aladdin show was very well practised and the stage lighting props looked really fantastic.
