The children and families had a wonderful time singing songs and listening to rhyming stories. Thank-you to all who were able to attend! We look forward to welcoming you all again at our next sessions in Term 3.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nA Message from our P7 House Captains- UK National Charity Event<br \/>\n<\/strong>We are the House Captains and one of our jobs is to organise events. We spoke to all of the school pupils and asked them to vote on a charity that we would support. The charity that we have selected is Guide Dogs UK <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guidedogs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.guidedogs.org.uk\/<\/a> .We think that this is a very important charity as it helps visually impaired people all over the UK.<\/p>\n<p>On <u>Friday 9<sup>th<\/sup> December<\/u> we have organised some activities and events to raise awareness of this important charity. We will visit the nursery buildings to talk to the children about guide dogs and carry out some fun activities with them.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, Noah and Millie (House Captains)<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nRecycled Donations<br \/>\n<\/strong>Thank you so much to everyone who has kindly donated items they would otherwise be throwing out to our nursery. <strong>We are looking to set up a Cosy Corner in each of our nursery buildings. <\/strong>This week we would gratefully receive any\u00a0cosy items to help us with this. Many, many thanks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Small rugs<\/li>\n<li>Blankets\/Throws<\/li>\n<li>Cushions<\/li>\n<li>Small lamps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Learning Links<br \/>\n<\/strong>The children will be taking part in lots of festive learning experiences in the nursery. Ho!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adverse Weather Guidance<br \/>\n<\/strong>Please click on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/public\/sandnc\/uploads\/sites\/18531\/2022\/11\/30131042\/Adverse-Weather-Letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a> to read important information regarding this.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nChatter Caf\u00e9 (Wednesday 21<sup>st<\/sup> December 9.15am &#8211; 9:45am)<br \/>\n<\/strong>We always strive to have excellent ways for you to get in touch with us and we have therefore introduced termly drop in sessions for any parent from nursery or school who would like to pop in for a coffee and chat with the Leadership Team. This is a very informal opportunity to come along and chat to us.\u00a0 Some of our pupils would also love to serve you a juice or a coffee\/ tea and there may even be some of their delicious baking there too. On the 21<sup>st<\/sup>, this will be our second time running the Chatter Caf\u00e9 this session, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to lots of parents at our caf\u00e9 in term 1. You maybe have an idea or a suggestion on any aspect of Netherlee life or you may have concerns or looking for some advice. Our PTA will also be with us so you can find out about the PTA or volunteering in school and nursery too or even if you just fancy a quick coffee and a chat with some other parents! We will also have the recycled uniform rails available to browse as well. We look forward to welcoming anyone who has a spare few minutes on the date and time above.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Everyone Matters <\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Thanks to those that have already volunteered to be involved in our\u00a0<strong>\u2018Everyone Matters\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>partnership group.\u00a0 We would be delighted to see more parents join us! If you would like to be a part of this group, simply please get in touch in the usual way or read more\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/public\/sandnc\/uploads\/sites\/18531\/2022\/11\/25121207\/Everyone-Matters.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. <u><br \/>\n<\/u><br \/>\n<strong>Note of Thanks from the PTA<br \/>\n<\/strong>A huge thank you from the PTA for the brilliant support at the Winter Fair yesterday. Thank you to our lovely stall holders, to the raffle prize donors, to the PTA volunteers, to the nursery and primary staff, to the pupils who decorated windows, ran stalls, sang in the choir and made items for the fair. Thank you to everyone who donated pre-loved items, donated to the tombola\u2019s and who came along to make such a lovely evening. Thank you to the facilities staff for cleaning everywhere ready for school again today.
