Thank you so much for sharing your time and celebrating many of the languages spoken at home.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b<b>Diversity Evening<br \/>\n<\/b>We are looking forward to welcoming our families in on Wednesday 11<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>February for our annual Diversity evening from 6.30pm- 8pm. There are so many exciting performances, workshops, food stalls and information areas. The evening is free to attend and there will only be payments required at two stalls: the ice cream and neurodiversity stalls. Of course, if you would like to make a donation, this can be done at the food tasting area. All proceeds from the evening will be made payable to a charity, which the P7 Diversity Department will decide and communicate with you. We really hope you can make it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chinese New Year Celebrations<\/strong><b><u><br \/>\n<\/u><strong>X\u012bnni\u00e1n ku\u00e0il\u00e8 (Happy New Year)<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/b>A group of our wonderful children, from P1- P7 who celebrate Chinese New Year at home, has been helping to plan events and activities for our school and nursery to help us celebrate Chinese New Year.\u00a0 This year we will celebrate this on Thursday 12 February. On this day,\u00a0<b>children who celebrate this festival and tradition<\/b>\u00a0are invited to wear their traditional Chinese clothing, if this is something that is readily available to them or, if they do not have traditional clothing, they are welcome to wear an item of clothing (top, skirt or trousers) in one of the Chinese lucky colours, which this year are black, red and yellow.\u00a0Please note this is optional.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not celebrate this festival, children should wear their usual school uniform or nursery clothes on this day please.<\/p>\n<p><b>Parental Focus Group<br \/>\n<\/b>We have been working very hard as a staff team to make improvements to our nursery environments.\u00a0 If you would be willing to work with the nursery team on planning further improvements for the nursery, please complete the short form using the link to set up a suitable day and time. We would appreciate your input to our continuing improvements.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/BeSxeNCCwc\">Continuous Improvement Focus Group \u2013 Fill in form<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Special Books and Care Plans<br \/>\n<\/b>We would politely remind all parents\/carers that it is very important to return \u2018Special Books\u2019 and individual Care Plans so that the staff team can continue to record all learning progress and agreed next steps. The children love to add quotes to their special books and often look at them with their peers, describing and revisiting cherished memories of interesting learning experiences.<\/p>\n<p><b>Community Outings<br \/>\n<\/b>If your child is going to Linn Park or out on a \u2018Wellie Wander Walk\u2019 or on an trip to the local shops, the school office will email you beforehand to let you know. You have already given consent for these local outings when joining the nursery. If you would like to volunteer some time to accompany any of our outings, please let Mrs Toman or the team know at drop off or collection time. We aim to work in partnership with parents\/carers as often as possible.<\/p>\n<p><b>Lending Library<br \/>\n<\/b>Please take time to look through some of the fantastic books on offer in the foyer, pop your choice in one of the waterproof bookbags and enjoy at home!<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\nCommunity Events: Library Activities<br \/>\n<\/b>The library service has some exciting activities planned for children in February. Some of these events will take place during the mid-term break, so come along and enjoy the library with your little ones!\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.enjoyeastren.org\/libraries\/children-and-young-people\/\">Children and Young People | East Renfrewshire Culture &amp; Leisure<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Voluntary Contributions to Nursery Fund<br \/>\n<\/b>Voluntary contributions to our nursery fund play a valuable role in enriching the experiences we can offer the children. While core activities are always provided, these contributions help us go further\u2014supporting special resources, workshops, outings, and creative projects that spark curiosity and make learning even more exciting. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly benefits the children by providing opportunities that enhance their development and enjoyment at nursery. We appreciate your involvement and engagement with all aspects of nursery life and look forward to working with you again this year. Contributions can be made via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.parentpay.com\/\">ParentPay<\/a>.\u00a0 Thank you so much to those families who have already donated.<\/p>\n<p><b>Achievements<br \/>\n<\/b>We love celebrating the children\u2019s achievements both in nursery and at home, and we\u2019d be delighted if you could share special moments from outside of nursery too. Whether it\u2019s learning a new skill, showing kindness, or simply making you proud, these experiences help us to build a fuller picture of your child\u2019s development. Please feel free to send in photos, notes, or stories so we can share their successes with the nursery community and celebrate them together.
