They will be able to offer you an appointment at a local clinic.<!--more--><strong>Pre-loved Donations<br \/>\n<\/strong>As a proud Eco Green Flag school, Netherlee Primary is always looking for sustainable ways to source the items we need for learning both in school and outdoors. We would be very grateful for any donations of good-quality items that could be reused within the school. By giving these items a new life, we can reduce waste and continue to promote our commitment to caring for the environment. We would gratefully receive any\u00a0<strong>of the items<\/strong><strong> from our wish list below<\/strong> to help with this activity. If you have, and are finished with, any of these types of items, please place any donations in our Recycled Donations Box situated at the main school office entrance from the 10<sup>th<\/sup> November. Any larger item drop offs can be coordinated with Mrs O\u2019Brien by calling our school office. Thank you as always for your support.<\/p>\n<p>Doll Cot, Doll Clothing, Cars, Dinosaurs, Small toy cleaning Set, Fabric, , Accessories (Hats, Scarves, feather boas, ties etc.), Loose Parts (Corks , Large Pebbles, Shells, Buttons, Bottle Tops, Curtain Rings, Nuts\/Bolts), Wooden Baskets, Plastic Pipes, Guttering, Cable Reels<\/p>\n<p><strong>St Andrew\u2019s Day \u2013 Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> November<br \/>\n<\/strong>To celebrate St Andrew\u2019s Day the children will take part in a range of fun, Scottish-themed activities, including tartan weaving, creating Scottish arts and crafts and cranachan making. On Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> November children should come to school in their uniform as normal, if they would like to, they can add something tartan to it \u2013 scarf, tie, skirt, kilt etc. On this day, Mr Watson and a group of musicians will lead a lively ceilidh for everyone to enjoy.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nCelebrating Children\u2019s Achievements<br \/>\n<\/strong>We always enjoy celebrating our children\u2019s achievements, both in and out of school however, this session, we are making some changes to this process after speaking to groups of children and getting feedback from them.<\/p>\n<p>Any out of school and any in-school achievements will now be displayed proudly on our lovely new House display boards. Please drop by to have a look any time you are in school, these are located in the link corridor leading off the atrium. These achievements can be big or small as we recognise that even what may appear as a small achievement to one person can be a huge success to another e.g. Learning to ride a bike or gaining a badge at swimming.\u00a0In order to submit the information about your child\u2019s <strong>out of school achievements,<\/strong> please complete the Google Form using the link below.\u00a0 <strong>Please note the link will feature each week in our Friday <\/strong>newsletter and you are welcome to send in achievements at any time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/DMAmxTYHS8CCa2tu9\">Achievements Outside of School Google Form<\/a><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>No photographs are required. During the session, Luke will unpack why Autistic people may experience high levels of anxiety, how environment influences this, and practical ways to help reduce stress and support wellbeing. This <strong>free online event<\/strong>, hosted by <strong>The Autistic Collective<\/strong>, is open to all parents, carers and professionals in East Renfrewshire. We are looking forward to seeing you then!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary 1: St Andrew\u2019s Day Celebration<br \/>\n<\/strong>The children in Primary 1 are going to be taking part in different activities as part of the celebrations for St Andrew\u2019s Day. The teachers would like to invite the children to make and taste the Scottish dessert, cranachan on Wednesday 26 November. The ingredients we will use are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oatmeal<\/li>\n<li>Raspberries<\/li>\n<li>Cream<\/li>\n<li>Honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have taken account of your child\u2019s dietary requirements however, if this needs updated, please contact the school office at your earliest convenience.
