If you, or someone you know, would like to reserve a stall at the fayre please email or call the school office to book a place. Stalls are \u00a315, payable on the night. As well as being a fantastic, fun, community event, the Winter Fayre allows us to raise funds for our school and nursery funds. These are used to buy lots of additional resources for the school and nursery eg the development of our outdoor spaces and playground games and toys.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Planned Menu Change \u2013 Friday 31<sup>st<\/sup> October<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease find <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/public\/sandnc\/uploads\/sites\/18531\/2025\/10\/24133358\/Happy-Halloween-Menu-PS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attached<\/a> our planned menu change for Halloween on Friday 31<sup>st<\/sup> October. The allergy information is included to enable your child to select a suitable option.\u00a0 However, if you require further allergy or dietary information, please contact your catering team via the school office. If you have completed a lifestyle meal request form a suitable alternative will be provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feedback Friday<br \/>\n<\/strong>Just a reminder that on Friday, it is Feedback Friday. Can all home learning jotters\/project work please be brought into school with your child on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Absence Information<\/strong><br \/>\nIf your child is unwell or unable to attend school, please let us know as soon as possible. You\u2019ll find all the information you need about when to keep your child at home and when it\u2019s safe for them to return in this link. <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/public\/sandnc\/uploads\/sites\/18531\/2025\/02\/07094326\/Child-off-School.pdf\">Absence\u00a0 Due to Illness Information<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Book Sale Reminder<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease see the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/public\/sandnc\/uploads\/sites\/18531\/2025\/10\/09190257\/Book-Sale-Letter-25-26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attached<\/a> letter for information about our upcoming book sale taking place in school during week commencing Monday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bikeability Help<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bikeability Scotland will be delivering training for anyone that would like to become a volunteer and help us deliver cycle training. Feedback from other parents that have undertaken this training and now help with Bikeability in school is very positive.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe training was excellent and gave me the knowledge and confidence to be able to plan and deliver sessions right away\u2026 We received lots of fun games and helpful tips and it was great to be able to refer back to these.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCycling is such an important life skill\u2026 it was super rewarding delivering these sessions. The children always have a great time and are very enthusiastic and respectful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/em>The training will be on <strong>Wednesday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> December and Friday 5th December 9am-12.30pm<\/strong> at Carolside Primary.<\/p>\n<p>Participants are required to attend both mornings and it covers Level 1 playground training and Level 2 on road training. The course is a mix of theory and practical so those attending will need access to a bike and helmet.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to attend the training or would like more information please email Mr Bryce. An information flyer can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/public\/sandnc\/uploads\/sites\/18531\/2025\/10\/09190257\/Book-Sale-Letter-25-26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrating Children\u2019s Achievements<br \/>\n<\/strong>We always enjoy celebrating our children\u2019s achievements, both in and out of school however, this session, we are making some changes to this process after speaking to groups of children and getting feedback from them.<\/p>\n<p>Any out of school and any in-school achievements will now be displayed proudly on our lovely new House display boards. Please drop by to have a look any time you are in school, these are located in the link corridor leading off the atrium. These achievements can be big or small as we recognise that even what may appear as a small achievement to one person can be a huge success to another e.g. Learning to ride a bike or gaining a badge at swimming.\u00a0In order to submit the information about your child\u2019s <strong>out of school achievements,<\/strong> please complete the Google Form using the link below.\u00a0 <strong>Please note <\/strong><strong>the link will feature each week in our Friday <\/strong>newsletter and you are welcome to send in achievements at any time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/DMAmxTYHS8CCa2tu9\">Achievements Outside of School Google Form<\/a><u><\/p>\n<p><\/u>No photographs are required. We will display your child\u2019s name, details of their achievement and their house colour on the House Boards which we hope to fill with lots of wonderful achievements as we know so many of our children do fabulous things out with school.\u00a0 As always, we would be very grateful for any feedback from parents\/ carers in relation to this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Events: Sports Clubs Taster Sessions<\/strong><br \/>\nEnjoy East Ren run over 120 sports classes every week, and your child can try a class for free!\u00a0 Booking is easy, choose the sports class you would like to try and at the payment screen, click &#8216;Book Your Trial&#8217;! Tuesday will be indoor PE and Friday will be outdoor PE. Please send your child to school dressed in appropriate PE uniform on those days.
