While core activities are always provided, these contributions help us go further—supporting special resources, workshops, outings, and creative projects that spark curiosity and make learning even more exciting. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly benefits the children by providing opportunities that enhance their development and enjoyment at nursery. We appreciate your involvement and engagement with all aspects of nursery life and look forward to working with you again this year. Contributions can be made via ParentPay. Thank you so much to those families who have already donated, this is greatly appreciated and we have already put these additional funds to great use by ordering for example: new resources to enhance our water play, wood to rebuild an outdoor sand pit area and bulbs to plant for Spring colour outdoors.

Photographs
We are currently refreshing our role play ‘home corner’ and would like to include some family photos. If you would like to, please email nursery mail or send a photo in that you are happy to be used in our display. This is to make the home corner feel even more cosy and familiar. Thank you for your help with this.

Stay and Play
We look forward to welcoming you into nursery for a Stay and Play, week commencing Monday 8th September. Thank you to those parents/carers who have already booked to come in. There will be more opportunities to come along throughout the year if you can’t make it this time.

Nursery Uniform Recycling
We are pleased to see that you have taken lots from recycling rail in the foyer of the nursery. Please let us know if you need any more as we sometimes have our uniform stock stored when there is another focus for our foyer display.

Gathering Views
We are always keen to engage and involve our families in the improvement cycle process. We appreciate your input on our suggestions/comments board in the foyer. We will ask for your views in this way for specific focus questions. However, we continue to appreciate your views on all aspects of the nursery any time by contacting us through nursery mail or in conversation with our staff at drop off and collection times. Thank you for your time and ideas!

Outdoor Learning and Local Area Outings
Spending time in local green spaces and connecting with the community can be hugely beneficial for preschool children. Parks, gardens, and nature areas give little ones the chance to explore, be active, and develop their curiosity about the world around them. Visiting local shops and talking to familiar faces helps children build confidence, learn social skills, and feel a sense of belonging in their neighbourhood. These everyday experiences not only support healthy development but also strengthen family and community bonds.

We will offer the children opportunities to go on these types of walks/outings. These outings are covered by the consent forms that parents/carers completed when starting nursery. We will also let you know about any outings on our news board at the entrance to nursery building in advance so that you are aware of any need for different clothing or footwear. We also have a supply of wellies and waterproof puddle suits and jackets that can be used if needed.

Cauliflower Cards
Over the last few years, the school and nursery have designed Cauliflower Cards for various purposes. These cards can be used for any purpose that you choose. The template along with an order form will be sent home from week commencing 8th September.

Please may we ask that all completed order forms, along with the completed design are returned to nursery no later than Thursday 25 September? Details on how to order can be found within the order form. Please note, this is an optional activity and there is no need for you to place an order. If you have any further questions, please contact our wonderful PTA at netherleepta@gmail.com

Volunteers – We Need You Please
We are always looking for new ways to involve our parents, carers and families in our school and nursery events. To support this partnership, the Special Books are always available in the nursery foyer for parents and carers to look through and enjoy at any time.
