\n<\/strong>I have spoken to most of you at the gates in the mornings and we chat about the weather as we welcome you all to nursery. I am excited to be joining the Nursery team and look forward to working with all our Netherlee families. For those of you who haven\u2019t met me yet, please stop and chat. This is a photo<\/a> of me taken by the P7 pupils. <\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>As the temperatures have dropped recently it has highlighted the need for appropriate layers of warm and waterproof clothing for learning outdoors and indoors. Please take time to check that your child has a change of clothes, hat and gloves when coming to nursery. If you wish to leave your child\u2019s wellies in nursery, please make sure they are named.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>We appreciate that parents and carers are prompt when collecting children who have patterns of attendance that end at 3.00 p.m. or 6.00 p.m. If you are not going to arrive by the specified time, please phone us to let us know.<\/p>\n
\nThe theme for this year is \u2018Hope\u2019. We are planning a Gaelic Book bug planned, storytelling sessions, nursery rhymes and songs. Please take a look at the Scottish Book Trust here for further ideas: Book Week Scotland<\/a><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>To mark St Andrew\u2019s Day the children will be participating in a variety of activities. On Friday 29th<\/sup> November children can if they would like to wear something tartan \u2013 tie, skirt, kilt etc.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>We look forward to welcoming you to our festive sing along on the dates below at 10:30am. We have two dates to facilitate suitable numbers for the space available.
\nTuesday 10th<\/sup> December \u2013 Butterflies, Deer, Badgers, Hedgehogs
\nWednesday 11th<\/sup> December \u2013 Rabbits, Otters, Owls, Foxes, Squirrels<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The next meeting of the school and nursery Parent Council will be at 7pm on Wednesday 20th<\/sup> November.\u00a0 This will be in the Hub in the school.\u00a0 We hope to see as many parents and carers as possible and as ever will hear from the school leadership team on a number of issues, with the opportunity for free and open discussion.\u00a0 If there is anything you would particularly like us to raise at the meeting then please email netherleeparentcouncil@gmail.com<\/a>.\u00a0 The agenda for the meeting is below:<\/p>\n\n
