Thank you so much to Mrs Greig and Mrs Morton, who led fantastic Bookbug sessions. The children (and grownups too!) just loved singing along with the actions to some much loved songs and nursery rhymes. We also had some author and writer visits too, including Mrs Cross and Mrs Strang-Roy. Thank you so much for coming to visit us!<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Children in Need <\/strong><br \/>\nA huge thank you for all your generous donations for Children in Need.\u00a0 So far the school and nursery have raised \u00a3669.76 for Children in Need. If you would still like to make a donation, Parent Pay will be available over the weekend until Monday morning and we will confirm the total amount raised in next Friday\u2019s newsletter. We are very grateful for all of the donations we receive for this great cause.<\/p>\n<p>We also took part in lots of fun experiences for Children in Need, organised by our Primary 7 House Captains. This included decorating our doors, wearing something spotty and doing some spotty artwork!<\/p>\n<p><strong>St Andrew\u2019s Day \u2013 Thurs 30<sup>th<\/sup> November<br \/>\n<\/strong>To mark St Andrew\u2019s Day the children will be participating in a variety of activities. On Thurs 30<sup>th<\/sup> November, if children would like to, they can wear something tartan \u2013 scarf, tie, skirt, kilt etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nursery Christmas Celebration<br \/>\n<\/strong>We are very excited to invite you to our Nursery Christmas Celebration. The children will be performing some festive songs to get us in the Christmas spirit.<strong> All celebrations will take place in the Saplings building<\/strong>. There will be two performances for each building. We are kindly asking parents and carers to attend over two performances and that a maximum of two guests per child attend the celebrations. The celebration will last <strong><u>approximately 40 minutes. <\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Please see dates and times below:<\/p>\n<p><u>Acorns: Thursday 14<sup>th<\/sup> December &#8211;<br \/>\n<\/u>9.45am: Yellow and Red Group<br \/>\n2pm: Green Group<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Staff will take children to the Saplings and back to the Acorns after the Christmas Celebration.<\/p>\n<p><u>Saplings: Friday 15<sup>th<\/sup> December<br \/>\n<\/u>9.30am: Purple and White Group<br \/>\n2pm: Orange and Pink Group<br \/>\nIf your child does not normally attend on the days of the celebrations, please just let us know. Should they still wish to take part- they are of course more than welcome!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christmas Party: Wednesday 20<sup>th<\/sup> December<br \/>\n<\/strong>Our Nursery Christmas party will take place in both buildings on <strong>Wednesday 20<sup>th<\/sup> December<\/strong>. The children should come to nursery in their party clothes for day. The Christmas Party will take place between\u00a0<strong>9:30am-11:30am<\/strong>. If your child does not normally attend on this day, please just let us know as they are more than welcome to join the party!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Early Finish on Friday 22<sup>nd<\/sup> December<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Nursery will close slightly earlier than usual on this day at 2.30pm.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nChatter Caf\u00e9<br \/>\n<\/strong>Due to unavoidable circumstances the Chatter Caf\u00e9 on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> Nov has had to be cancelled but we will look forward to the next one on 31<sup>st<\/sup> January.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Menu Change<br \/>\n<\/strong>Please find below an altered temporary nursery catering menu which will come into effect from <strong>Monday 20th. \u00a0<\/strong>The temporary menu will be in place on a <strong>Wednesday <\/strong>only with the previously published menu being in effect on all other days.\u00a0 This adapted menu will be in place until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>Week 1: Vegetable noodle soup, Pizza with diced potato and sweetcorn<br \/>\nWeek 2: Vegetable noodle soup, Quorn hotdog with crudities<br \/>\nWeek 3: Vegetable noodle soup, Quorn dipper wrap with mayonnaise and crunchy salad<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nParent Teacher Association (PTA) &#8211; Coming Together for Our School<br \/>\n<\/strong>We are getting ready for our Winter Fayre that will take place on Thursday, 7 December 2023.\u00a0Please note the Change of Date for the Tombola collection and \u2018Dress As You Like Day\u2019. It is now on Monday, 4 December.\u00a0Donations can be handed to volunteers in the morning at drop off.
