This week we would gratefully receive any <strong>large loose parts<\/strong> from our wish list below. Loose parts are any materials which can be combined, redesigned, lined up, taken apart, and put back together in different ways. If you have, and are finished with, <strong>any of these large items<\/strong>, please contact the school office beforehand to discuss a suitable drop-off time. If you have any of the smaller items then please place these in our Recycled Donations Box situated at the main school office entrance from Tuesday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> May. Many, many thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Hardwood plywood sheets<br \/>\nWood \/ timber planks<br \/>\nCrates<br \/>\nPipes<br \/>\nGutters<br \/>\nSmall Tree stumps<br \/>\nRopes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bikes and Scooters in the Playground<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the recent nice weather, we have noticed a lot more children cycling and scooting to school, which is great to see! Please could we ask that, on entry to the school playgrounds, that all children (and adults) dismount from cycles and scooters and push them to their location. You\u2019ll understand that the gates are very busy in the mornings and at collection times, and we want\u00a0everyone to stay safe. Thank you for your support with this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coronation<br \/>\n<\/strong>As you know, the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place on Saturday 6th May, 2023.\u00a0At Netherlee, as we know that King Charles is passionate about art, nature and conservation on Friday 5<sup>th<\/sup> May, we would like to celebrate by creating a piece of artwork inspired by these themes of nature or conservation. Every child will take part and then we hope to sell their artwork (for a small price only) to you, their parents and carers, at our next Parent Meetings.\u00a0 This fundraiser will help us to restock our hub cupboards with cooking ingredients and kitchen resources for the Hub for next session. The money raised by the Primary 7 children\u2019s art will contribute towards funding their P7 leavers\u2019 dance.\u00a0Thank you so much for your support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parent\/Teacher Meeting Appointments<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>As detailed in our Calendar of Events, our upcoming Parent\/Teacher Meetings will be conducted via In Person meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> and 24<sup>th<\/sup> May.<\/p>\n<p>The first named contact on our system will receive a separate email from us on Friday 5<sup>th<\/sup> May, advising how to book an appointment. If you have any enquiries about this, please don\u2019t hesitate to get in touch.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nFamily Focused Gold Award: Update<br \/>\n<\/strong>We have been working hard to prepare for our Family Focused Gold Award accreditation date on Friday 19<sup>th<\/sup> May. These dates are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue<\/strong> and <strong>Red<\/strong> House Families: Wednesday 31<sup>st<\/sup> May\u00a0from 9am- 11.15am<br \/>\n<strong>Green<\/strong> and <strong>Yellow<\/strong> House Families: Thursday 1 June\u00a0from 9am- 11.15am<\/p>\n<p>P1-4 Children (Race Day): Friday 2 June from 9.15am- 10.40am<br \/>\nP5-7 Children (Race Day): Friday 2 June from 11am- 12.30pm<\/p>\n<p>There are also opportunities for you to come into school to share your experiences of competing in sport or, for leading an active session with a class or stage.
