It felt good to be recognised for our work and achieve Level 1 of the Rights Respecting Schools Award. As well as listing the things we had done well, we were given advice on how to move forward onto Level 2. Although some of these steps will take a long time to plan and implement, others have been easy to put into place.
For example, the RRS Committee ran a competition in December for a new Braidbar/RRS logo. The idea is that when we see this logo around the school it reminds us that we are learning about children’s rights or seeing rights respecting behaviour in action.
Here are some of the creative and colourful entries we received:
The Committee enjoyed studying and discussing all the entries. Winners are to be announced soon so watch this space!
