PHEW! What a week, we have performed the Christmas concert FIVE TIMES!
Jingle promised if we made the last one our very best he would leave us a gift. Guess what?
He did! He left us hot chocolate and the polar express. We had a lovely afternoon. 🙂
Jingle has still been up to mischief!!!
Here are some pictures of his antics so far this week.
On Tuesday he tried to go with Mr Williams to Eastwood High School. He really wanted to go until he found out he would have to go on the train. Far too scary for a little north pole elf.
This morning we found a BIG mess on the floor so we immediately called Mrs Crossan down to investigate. Turns out Jingle found some leftover flour from our active spelling and he thought it was snow. He decided to make a snow angel and leave us a message!
Mrs Hamilton has also had our elves causing havoc in her kitchen. She was VERY surprised to see this photo as she always locks the door and double checks before she leaves. The elves must have been hungry – good healthy choice with melon though!
Over and out for now
Primary 3b 🙂
On Friday we had a visit from a music specialist. He taught us how to use pitch, rhythm and voice. We played lots of games to help us keep the beat.
For one of the games we had to turn upside down while singing and passing the ball. It really made us laugh.
LEARNING CAN BE FUN!!!!
Miss Ritchie was VERY impressed with our musicality and took some photos to share with you.
As you have probably heard we have a special visitor in our classroom – Santa delivered us an elf ! We have decided to name him Jingle.
Here are some photos of the mischief he has been causing!
Jingle and his friends riding a SHOE SHOE train using our gym shoes!
Revising his number bonds to 20 playing bingo!
Keeping his friend Elfie company on the buddy bench!
Jingle found things that ring and spit out paper – he managed to get himself up to the office!
Trying to post himself back to our classroom!
Jingle delivered us a knitted Nativity scene!
We can’t wait to see what else he gets up to between now and Christmas. Keep up to date with us by checking our blog!
This morning we completed a range of spelling activities. We decided to spell festive words!
Christmas Bingo – Instead of shouting BINGO, we shouted JINGLE! We hope Jingle the elf heard us calling his name!
Decorate the tree – Instead of baubles and tinsel we used our spelling words
Snow Spelling – We used paintbrushes to write our words in the snow
Paint – We painted our words in festive colours
Word search – We had to hunt for our words within a jumbled word search
We have been learning how to share cubes equally between people. Another word for share is DIVIDE! We are really excited to learn about division.
Â
We are working hard to make sure each person has the same amount of cubes.
Alexander – “I have been learning to divide cubes into groups.”
Amy – “Today I have learned that groups of even numbers can be divided.”
Ben – “I learned to divide in 2 equal groups of 10 to make 20”
Iris – “First, we learned how to multiply by 2. Now divide…what next?!?!”
Amber – “So far I have enjoyed it. I would like to keep on learning about division. It was VERY fun!”
Beth – “I was learning how to multiply by 2 but now I am learning about dividing.”
So we are back from our wonderful trip to Vikingar and here are some of the things we have learned and enjoyed about the day:
A year in the life of P3b!
