Resilience

We had a really fun afternoon learning about BALANCE in our Resilience topic in Health and Wellbeing. We were exploring the importance of having a good balance in life. We began with some fun challenges…

After walking the ‘tightrope’ and completing some tricky tower challenges we discussed what balance was and how it was important eg. exercise vs rest and school time vs family time. The children then discussed in groups which things they would like to do more of and which things they could do less of to ensure a good balance.

We also completed some art activities relating to our Resilience topic. We have been discussing ADAPTING to different situations in life when changes arise and to test how well we adapt physically we drew pictures with our non-dominant hand with some very interesting results!

We had a good giggle looking around and next week the children want to post photographs on the blog to show the different wall displays we have in class. So you can look forward to seeing our wonky art pieces then!
