We took a trip to the cinema at Silverburn for the Into Film Festival. We had a great time watching Minions: The Rise of Gru. Thank you to Mrs Mossman for organising and to Andrew’s Mum and Myra’s Mum for coming along with us.

We used time connectives, bossy verbs (imperative verbs) and numbered lists to write instructions for making slime and potions.

Here are some of the things that we got up to in November and December of 2022 – learning to write instructions, our Cinema Trip, solo talks, a winter walk to inspire our poetry writing and our Christmas Party.

We love arts and crafts in P3.9! We enjoy creating art with Sharpies and recommend checking out Art Hub for Kids on YouTube for easy to follow tutorials. We have used this channel to create Egyptian artwork, Halloween pieces and Pokeballs for our Class Charter.

For Halloween, we used cotton buds and Elmer’s Glue to create skeletons.

Recognising the importance of Diwali for followers of Sikhism and Hinduism, we decorated dias. Thank you to the parent group that provided us with these oil lamps – we enjoyed our time in our Art Room.

We had a great time on the pitch at the Sponsored Stations. Thank you to Brandon and the S6 students from Mearns Castle for organising.
