This morning we joined a digital school session on dinosaurs. Fiona from the National Museum of Scotland asked us questions and showed us some amazing fossils. From T-Rex teeth to dinosaur poo, it was really interesting. Did you know a T-Rex jaw is 5 feet long? They also has 60 serrated teeth! But thatβs not half as scary as this bunch! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
This week we had a chance to check how important it is to wash our hands properly. After rubbing some Bug Lotion on our hands, we have checked how germs would spread- our hands glowed under the UV light. We then split into two groups to test what is more effective: washing hands with soap and water or hand sanitising. The results were clear⦠Wash your hands with soap and water whenever possible. We then learned how to wash our hands following six simple steps to become Soaperheroes and defeat germs.
This afternoon we went on a scavenger hunt in our eco garden. Mrs Stephenson read out different clues and we had to find the answer using our rhyming knowledge.
Here are some of the clues we were given;
I am tall and proud. You can stand under me. Animals live in my branches, I am a _______.
You’ll come across lots of these, when out on a walk. They’re like big stones, what’s under the ______?
You can walk on me, play football or pass. I grow spiky and green, I’m a patch of _____.
On our walk back, Mrs Stephenson overheard us talking with our friends about other words which rhyme. Ask us to name some at home π
As we play, we can make a big mess! When βTidy Up Rhumbaβ comes on, we know just what to do! These videos were taken minutes apart π
