We had great fun at our Christmas party yesterday! We started the party with a boogie in our classroom and then moved onto the gym hall where we had a great time celebrating with P2.5! We finished off with a snack and a pantomime in class! 🎄🥳

A busy week in P2.6!
We have been working hard on our reading comprehension skills and using our reading books to help us answer the comprehension questions. We use traffic light stamps in class to self assess our work.
The boys and girls of primary 2.6 all looked excellent in their sheep costumes for our nativity and did so well at singing and dancing! Well done! All your hard work was worth it with an amazing performance from everyone!
After lunch we have reading time by the fire, we choose a book and Miss Hamilton reads this to us by the crackling fire.
Some of the children collected enough dojo points last week to spin our prize wheel in class! Well done to all!
Elf antics, Mearns Masters and lots more!
The children had a great time working with our play zone leaders and playing games. We tried out some favourites and also some newly designed games from our Primary 6 leaders!
Candy Cane has been busy getting stuck in our interactive board and we have been having fun in our classroom areas! The children were all very happy to see snow this week and would have watched this all day if we could have!
For our Mearns Masters the children are campaigning to save the bees 🐝 we have been working hard on our random acts of kindness for Christmas to give out to encourage others to save the bees too!

Friday fun maths!
We have been practising our maths concepts and revising our previous learning today in maths!
We have been working on odd and even numbers.
We made patterns using beads.
We ordered numbers, some of us ordered numbers to 100!
Mearns Masters and fun science!
Today in P2.6 we were scientists and performed an experiment to make the layers of the ocean! We used recycled plastic bottles to help save our oceans and talked about what animals are found in each layer! 🥽♻️
During our Mearns Masters we had a special visitor who came to tell us all about bees and how we can save them to support our bee campaign! 🐝 Thank you to Mrs Wheel for making our lesson so fun with lots of interesting bee items for us to look at and talk about! We even had a chance to try some honey!
