With our Burns Lunch on Wednesday and a Scots Poetry Competition this morning, P3.10 have had a fun-filled week full of Scots language and culture. We took part in an inventive art activity this afternoon, creating images of what we imagine a wild haggis might look like! Everyone was very inventive and each haggis was unique. Well done P3.10 for your creative skills and interesting ideas! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿคธโ€โ™‚๏ธ P3.10 Practise Their Balancing Skills ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

P3.10 made the most of last weekโ€™s lovely weather by playing a game of Mirrors out on the pitch. They practised the balances that they have learnt in pairs, taking turns to carefully mirror one anotherโ€™s poses as they moved around outdoors. They listened well and enjoyed spending time in the sunshine โ€“ well done P3.10! โ˜€๏ธ

โ„๏ธ P3.10 Explore the Northern Lights ๐ŸŒŸ

This week in P3.10 we have been creating art pieces based on the Northern Lights. We drew polar bears and cut them out for our foreground. We then used paper to create stencils and added chalk lights to our background. The final results were beautiful and full of interesting shapes and colours โ€“ well done P3.10! ๐Ÿปโ€โ„๏ธโญ๏ธ

๐ŸงŒ๐Ÿ‘พ Monster Writing in P3.10 ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ“

Over the last few weeks in P3.10 weโ€™ve been thinking about adjectives, descriptions and monsters! We read the book Thatโ€™s Not My Monster, found adjectives in a written description of a monster, drew our own monsters and then described them ourselves. Today we looked at other childrenโ€™s art and helped them to think of adjectives to describe their monstersโ€™ appearances and personalities. It was great fun putting our heads together and coming up with ideas as a class. Well done to everyone for theirย  fantastic Friday writing!

๐Ÿ“– ๐ŸŒณ P3.10 Take Literacy and Numeracy Learning Outdoors ๐Ÿ โœ๏ธ

Here in P3.10 we have been consolidating our Literacy and Numeracy skills recently by taking our learning outdoors, enjoying the good weather when it has come along! We created Story Maps on the playground, jumping from section to section in order to retell a story and practice our sequencing skills. We also took our division skills outdoors by sharing objects into equal groups. Everyone enjoyed demonstrating their skills in an outdoor setting, using coloured chalk and teamwork to show the rest of the school what weโ€™ve been up to in our classroom.
