What is a Care Plan?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Care Plan is information we hold about individual children that enables us to best meet their needs with a focus on well-being, learning and development and by setting out their health, welfare and safety needs. It can comprise of a number of documents but there should be no duplication and it should be regularly reviewed with parents\/carers.<\/p>\n

At Overlee Our Care Plans will:
\n\u2022 reflect the values and principles of Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC)
\n\u2022 be developed in partnership with parents\/carers
\n\u2022 put the child at the centre
\n\u2022 see the child as a whole
\n\u2022 take account of individual needs, preferences, choices
\n\u2022 recognise a child’s existing network of support
\n\u2022 value diversity
\n\u2022 safeguard and promote children\u2019s rights
\n\u2022 be used to share information when appropriate.<\/p>\n

Every Child will have a care plan and will be created with the child and their family when they first start nursery. The Care Plan will include an <\/p>\n

All About Me
\nEmergency Contacts
\nMy likes and Dislikes
\nRoutines from home and at nursery
\nInformation relating to each child’s health and medical needs<\/p>\n

Our Care Plans can be accessed by our children and families at any time and are regualry shared with children and parents throughout the year. <\/p>\n
