What is Seesaw?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seesaw is a secure online Learning Journal to record photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years curriculum, to build up a record of your child\u2019s experiences during their time with us. This system allows us to work with parents and carers to share information and record the children\u2019s play and learning.<\/p>\n

How does Seesaw\u00a0work?<\/h3>\n

Seesaw provides each individual child with their own Learning Journal held online. Parents and carers are given their own log-in. All our staff are given a secure log-in. They can then upload observations, photos or videos; recording children\u2019s achievements and assessing their learning in reference to the East Renfrewshire Early Years tracker.<\/p>\n

Parents can change their settings so that an email is then automatically generated informing them when an observation has been added so they can have a look and add any comments of their own.<\/p>\n

We will show you how to download the Seesaw parent app in school and give you a unique code for your child.<\/p>\n

Who can access Seesaw?<\/h3>\n

You can choose to share your log in details with extended family if you wish, so they can see your child\u2019s Learning Journal.<\/p>\n

How can I view my child\u2019s Learning Journals?<\/h3>\n

Once logged in, you will see your child\u2019s observations on your home screen in a list \u2013 selecting any one of these will open up the observation for you to look at. You may add comments in the box at the bottom of the observation if you would like to \u2013 and we would love to receive such comments!<\/p>\n

How do I know that my child\u2019s Learning Journal has been updated?<\/h3>\n

The system will automatically send you an email when an observation for your child has been added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Who can access my Child\u2019s Learning Journal?<\/h3>\n

At nursery we have access to all of the children\u2019s Learning Journals.\u00a0 The only other people that can see your child\u2019s account will be yourselves and anyone that you share your log in details with, such as Grandparents etc.\u00a0 If your child is featured in a group observation, their photo may appear in another child\u2019s Learning Journal (please let us know if you do not wish your child’s photo to appear on any other child’s profile.)<\/p>\n

Children’s Access to Seesaw\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our children can access their seesaw at any time and use a QR code on their special book to log in and look through their learning journal. Our children often request to reflect on their learning and can also record a video or voice note for their family to hear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
