Mearns Nursery (2020-2021)

At Mearns Nursery we love working together with families to support learning at home.

Every month you will receive the learning at home calendar which has ideas for activities covering different areas of the curriculum.

There are also Literacy, Numeracy and Rhyming bags that can be borrowed. They can be requested via the comments section of the blog or by asking a member of staff. When returned all items will be quarantined for 72 hours.

At the front door there is a family lending library, please feel free to borrow a book at any time.

Rhyming cards and practical maths cards can also be borrowed.

Our new children will be bringing home their Snap Shot books over the next couple of weeks. These books are a celebration of the children’s learning and achievement.

To start this learning journey please take time with your child to decorate the book together and to record a brief story of them which can include photos or drawings. Once complete please return it to the nursery.

Full guidance can be found in the letter accompanying the book. We look forward to seeing the decorated books and to learning even more about your child.

When you are dropping your child at nursery, please pop their clearly labelled snack and water bottle into their group’s basket. Then pop their lunch box into their group’s trolley.
