We hope that you enjoy the suggested activities, please email in photos of you and your child Learning Together for us to display on our family learning board within the nursery. We look forward to seeing the activities that you enjoyed!

This week we have been loving playing with water, making pizza from play dough, mixing paint and other substances with water, listening to stories, and many more exciting things!

As always please share your child’s current interests either through the comments section of the blog or via a member of staff.

At Mearns Nursery we love working together with families to support learning at home.

Every month you will receive the learning at home calendar which has ideas for activities covering different areas of the curriculum.

There are also Literacy, Numeracy and Rhyming bags that can be borrowed. They can be requested via the comments section of the blog or by asking a member of staff. When returned all items will be quarantined for 72 hours.

At the front door there is a family lending library, please feel free to borrow a book at any time.

Rhyming cards and practical maths cards can also be borrowed.

Our new children will be bringing home their Snap Shot books over the next couple of weeks. These books are a celebration of the children’s learning and achievement.

To start this learning journey please take time with your child to decorate the book together and to record a brief story of them which can include photos or drawings. Once complete please return it to the nursery.
