We must look after our money and keep it safe so that we do not lose it.

Think about the different places that adults and children like you can keep money safe.

Adults often use a purse or a wallet to keep their money in.

Children sometimes keep money safe in a piggy bank or a money box.

Can you think of a place in your home where money is kept safe?

As you will be aware from the newsletter, I will be leaving the Mearns Primary and Nursery family next week. I am extremely excited about my new post as Head of Nursery in Glasgow, but it is bitter sweet as I have to say goodbye to the many children, families, colleagues and friends that I have grown to love over the years.

I wish Mearns and the wider community the very best and very much hope that our paths will cross again in the near future.
