Burns Night

Monday the 25th of January is Burns Night. Robert Burns was a famous Scottish Poet. Today we are going to think about the traditions of Burns night and create some Scottish themed art!

 

Activities

Design and create your own tartan, you can use paint, pencils, crayons or pens.

Ask a family member to read you some of Burn’s poetry.

Try some traditional Burns Night foods such as haggis, neeps and tatties.

Listen to some Scottish Ceilidh music and dance round your living room!

Use junk materials to create a set of bagpipes.

Challenge

Organise a party for Burns night! Write out invitations, plan the music, make food and have fun with your family!
